Dr. Mackay completed her Bachelor of Science at Acadia University in 1996, then graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2001.Out of our whole class, Erin was chosen and awarded the prestigious Herbert K. Lee award for highest excellence in academic, clinical and altruistic endeavors.
She has worked around Halifax since 2001 and has worked with Dr. Brian Seaman for 5 years who is one of the chiropractors who travels with and treats the Canadian Olympic athletes, as well as in two integrated clinics alongside medical doctors, physiotherapists, massage therapists and psychologists. She has a great appreciation for the roles of each health care provider.
Her goal is for her patients to lead healthy and active lives and she enjoys participating in achieving this goal. Her practice philosophy follows the medical model with the aim to create a balance between the musculoskeletal and neural structures to allow every patient to function at their highest.
Outside of the clinic setting, she enjoys being a member of a running group, participating in races in the Maritime Provinces, being an active member of the community, taking advantage of all the great outdoors has to offer, and spending time with the people she loves. She is the proud master of our clinic puppy, Vida.
